Projet
Project to Strengthen Resilience to Food Insecurity in Mali.
The Project aims to minimize the impacts of droughts and famine that devastate populations and hamper the economic and social progress emanating from a decade of positive economic growth. In particular, it will help to (i) lay the foundation for a sustainable financing mechanism to address food and fodder deficits; (ii) protect the livelihoods of the most vulnerable households, and strengthen the resilience of pastoralists, farmers, agropastoralists and fisherfolk; (iii) develop post-harvest, storage and rainwater harvesting infrastructure and equipment; (iv) strengthen the regional mechanism for forecasting, management and prevention of food and nutritional crises; and finally (v) contribute to the implementation of a regional strategy through the development of storage and conservation infrastructure.
