Project
The project concerns the construction works of the first section of Yaounde-Douala highway in Cameroon, financed from the National Budget. It falls within the framework of the highway Program whose 1st phase starts with the Yaounde-Douala highway linking the two capitals of the country (political and economic).
The lot 1 of the Yaounde-Douala highway is 60 km long, with a 2x2 lane cross-section that can be widened to 2x3 lanes from the inside, with a bituminous concrete wearing course.
The pavement body is composed of a Granular sub base, a Bituminous base and Asphalt Concrete wearing course.
The project includes, among others, three interchanges; four overpasses in slab bridges of approximately 70m length each, four underpasses in closed or open gantry form and several small hydraulic structures (culverts).
